Welcome to the Sukey Hart Chapter, NSDAR

The Sukey Hart Chapter, NSDAR, was organized and confirmed by the National Board of Management on October 7, 1982, in Warner Robins, Georgia.  The organizing regent was Jane Brewer Daniels (Mrs. William). The chapter officers were: Gene Hawkins Bauer (Mrs. Richard),vice regent; Joanne Hughes Lusk (Mrs. Edward), chaplain; Pauline Stiles Harp (currently Mrs. Huber Ingram), recording secretary; Essie Earnestine Lewis Hickman (Mrs. William), treasurer; Alice Jan Floyd Cason (currently Mrs. Richard Poole), registrar; Addie Paramore Howell (Mrs. J. Don), historian; and Beulah White Cruthirds, librarian.

Sukey Hart was the daughter of Patriot Nancy Hart (also known as the "War Woman").  Sukey Hart aided both of her parents during the Revolutionary War in Georgia.  One of the things she did was to carry messages regarding British troops and Tories to the local militia.
